Signature Outdoor Projects was born from the vision of its founder, John Williams who began working in the building industry in 2005 as an apprentice in carpentry.  

Early in his career, he noticed a pattern on nearly every project he joined: shortcuts, flaws, and missed details that undermined the final result. While many were satisfied with “good enough approach,” he believed clients deserved better — outdoor spaces built with true craftsmanship and care.

Driven by this belief, he set out to raise the standard, focusing on precision, durability, and pride in every detail. This dedication to quality became the cornerstone of what would eventually become Signature Design. 

Over the years, Johns work revealed an even greater opportunity: the power of thoughtful design. By 2020, after more than 15 years of designing, hands-on building Patios, Decks and landscaping, he turned his focus toward design itself.

John realized that the most breathtaking spaces were not only functional, but also harmonious and aesthetically balanced. By blending design principles with practical construction knowledge, he could create outdoor environments that were as usable as they were beautiful. This evolution marked a defining moment for Signature Design — the transition from purely executing projects to shaping them from concept through to completion.
